Interview with Christofer!

Hello guys, as said in the News tab, now we know a little Dohi and Christofer!
Ai follows the interview!
Happy reading to all.

Lucas Perfil: Hello Christofer, wanted to first thank you and all the Dohi team for accept our interview invitation from Planeta MilMo blog, an interview telling a little about the interest of you on Milmo.

Answer: Thank you for having on your blog.

Lucas Perfil: Well, as everyone knows, Junebud AB, a Swedish company was bankrupt, I wonder how you knew Junebud and if you had some sort of partnership?

Answer: We have heard about the company through game development channels here in Sweden. We were very sad to hear about their bankruptcy and wanted to keep MilMo alive after the end of Junebud AB. We did not have any partnership with Junebud AB before their bankruptcy.

Lucas Perfil: When the news came out that Milmo could reach the end, you already know a bit about the game or had to take a quick search to know a little about the game before it was too late due the servers shutdown?

Answer: When we learned about Junebud AB’s problems we made some more research about Milmo and liked what we saw. Mainly we saw great potential in the game. And that the game fitted nicely with our own ideas.

Lucas Perfil: Dohi is a company that if I am not mistaken all or most of their games are for I Tunes. What attracted more on MilMo for you, since he was not a game for I Tunes like the other games?

Answer: We have talked internally about doing a MMO. But doing a game like that takes a lot time so when learned about MilMo it fitted our plans pretty well. We as a company is pretty new to this kind of development although we have many experienced people here that have worked on titles like this before.

Lucas Perfil: Did not want to see Milmo like I Tunes, 10 000 taps on the screen to get some critter medal, it would be an exercise = P

Answer: We will try to stay true to the original idea of Milmo and listen to the feedback the players have. Although we will also need to have some income since servers and development time cost money. It will be a journey we will take together with the players, balancing the game and making it even better.

Lucas Perfil: Going back in time, I'll ask a question that has been asked since the beginning of Milmo BETA ...

In 2008, in the version released only for members of Junebud team, Called Million Morning or Milmo (as you prefer) existed "Pets", which soon were taken from the store sale and ads in the game, and a while ago when I interviewed our friend Sara , Former community manager for Milmo, she informed us that the pets were still included in the MilMo systems. Could you tell us if the "Pets" seen only by us through photos will enter into the store? After all, everyone would like to have a pet to keep you company on your adventure in MilMo is not it? (MilMonauts consumption dream Smiley mostrando a língua)

Answer: We have talked about re-introducing pets. It would be a really cool addition to the Milmo universe. Although we cannot say when this is going to happen.

Lucas Perfil: Another question about Pets, hehe ... Junebud before bankruptcy, was focusing a lot on news, as rooms in houses, corrupted items, radical hair etc ... Could you tell us whether, in the midst of so many news, if the Pets were about to enter in-game for sale or if we can have them doing quests?

Answer: If and when we introduce pets to the game it will most likely be through the in-game store. But it’s a nice idea to have some pets as quest reward as well.

Lucas Perfil: Currently your focus is being MilMo on Orkut, after his return you would like to bring new islands to the game, and even Sagas?

Answer: The next focus after bringing back the game to the Orkut-users would be to update the items. Add a few new items and update and lower pricing on the old items. We also want to update the game client to the latest version of Unity in order to make it more stable and work on more computers.

Lucas Perfil: Can you tell us a little about these island projects that you intend to do? And if you focus on a type of "style" for MilMo islands?

Answer: When we do a new Island we will make it a specific theme or ”style”. I can’t say what theme we will make the next island in, but it will be pretty cool.

Lucas Perfil: Do you intend to make a new system, as clans?

Answer: Yes, if everything works out well we want to extend gameplay with more systems. I can’t say if we will have clans, but it’s an interesting thought.

Lucas Perfil: Well let's talk about the Game Masters?

Answer: Alright.

Lucas Perfil: How is GM's Selection and the criteria to be one of them?

Answer: To be a Game Master (GM) you need to be responsible and act with the communities best interest all the time. As a GM you will make sure that everyone is civil and follows the rules of the game. You will also be sort of an ambassador to help new players. We are currently re-working the structure for GM’s, after that I think we will recruit a few more GM’s and perhaps some old GM’s are removed.

Lucas Perfil: Many players are helping Forum and Community right? In the midst of so many users, you should make a selection between players who are engaged and willing to help in the game. And how do you do this selection, for example, how do you evaluate the ability of someone to put him/her in the right place as GM / FM?

Answer: We take help from other experienced players in the community to make these decisions. We have contact with many of the players who have been with us since the start of Milmo.

Lucas Perfil: How is the basis for making rules for the game?

Answer: If you mean the terms of use then the rules are based to good ethics and common sense. If you mean balancing the game, then we use data that is collected from players using the items etc.

Lucas Perfil: The Anti-Botting team certainly works very hard to make the game more fair, and many players also I believe. How is done the checking if the player is using bot, and if you want to let it more “ stiffer “?

Answer: We have a system that monitors how player is playing. If it detects some irregularities it will notify the GM’s and admin’s in the game and they will have to contact the player. If the player does not respond or responds strangely we might kick the player from the game. If the botting is repeated we may ban the player.

Lucas Perfil: Game Master is trained to analyze the case of finding someone botting?

Answer: The GM’s have a list of actions to follow when someone is suspected to be using a bot. First action is try to talk to the player.

Lucas Perfil: A player banned for hack use in MilMo has a punishment an definitely ban. These banned avatars are all deleted of the game or they are still on the game data base but out of internet where only you guys have access on it? If they are already on a “separated system”, why hold them there?

Answer: We keep the avatars in the database for some time to make sure the player using a hack doesn’t create a new account and use the same hack.

Lucas Perfil: If a player who used hacker was caught by a GM and was logged out,and then reported to the anti-bot team with evidences and after that this player change his avatar name. These actions can prevent the player for get punishment?

Answer: Yes and no, we will keep track of e-mail, facebook-id, orkut-id and ip-address. So we can find the player again if we like.

Lucas Perfil: Well Christofer, let me thank you for give us this interview and your time. All the success at Dohi for you and good luck with MilMo administrations.

Answer: Thank you. I hope we can bring many more hours of joy to our players.
